will serve Filipinos regardless of political color

Leni Robredo’s commitment is to be a President for all, just as when she set aside politics while serving the Filipino people as the Vice President for the past six years.

“Ang pangako ko po sa inyo pag ako naging pangulo, walang kulay-kulay na titingnan, magiging pangulo po ako ng lahat,” Robredo declared before the 43,000-strong crowd at the “LENIwanag Ang Silangan” grand rally, held at the Rizal Provincial Capitol grounds in Antipolo City on Tuesday, April 5.

Statement of VP Leni Robredo's Spokesperson, Atty.Barry Gutierrez on latest Pulse Asia survey
The survey numbers are starting to reflect what we have been seeing on the ground all along: the massive crowds, the fierce passion, the untiring commitment of Filipinos from all walks of life, coming together to rally behind Leni Robredo's bid for the Presidency. This 13-point swing going into the last two months of the campaign clearly establishes what we have long known: that VP Leni has the momentum, which we expect will only further intensify and accelerate all the way to May 9. What we are seeing...

Vice President Leni Robredo said the strength of her presidential campaign is derived from the hard work of her supporters united in fighting for their future, and that it is the light of a home – “ilaw ng tahanan” and a reference to mothers – who would lead the people to this bright future.

“Ang tunay na lakas hindi nanggagaling sa pera o makinarya kung ‘di sa pagkakaisa ng taumbayan,” Robredo, the only female presidential candidate, said in her closing remarks in the second ...

VP Leni vows to protect basic rights of Filipinos:
‘No one can take away a person’s human rights’

For Vice President Leni Robredo, human rights are non-negotiable.

When presidential candidates were asked about their views on balancing economic development and protecting basic rights of Filipinos, Robredo stressed that human rights are “inherent and inalienable” to every individual.

“Napakahalaga ng human rights dahil ito ay inherent. Nabubuhay pa lang tayo, nakadikit na 'yun sa 'tin. Ito din ay inalienable, walang sino man ang puwedeng magtanggal sa 'tin ng ating karapatang pantao,” Robredo sai...

VP Leni says the government needs to strengthen its systems vs. corruption

Vice President Leni Robredo reiterated the government system should force public officials to be good at the second installment of the Pilipinas Debates 2022: The Turning Point.

This was her answer to the question by moderator, veteran journalist Ces Drilon, on who is to blame for corruption, the weakness of the government or the weakness of the people? Drilon said P700 billion are lost every year to corruption, an amount enough to build P1.4 million homes for Filipinos.

Robredo said while both the people and the system...
