Leni: “Lugi sa akin ang mga trolls”

      [English Version]

Trolls can’t ever win against her, presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo said because she has always ignored them.

“Ang parati nga sagot ko, lugi sa akin ang mga trolls kasi hindi ako naaapektuhan,” Robredo said in an interview with the media in Camarines Norte over the weekend.

She was asked for her reaction that black propaganda against her kicked into high gear after she declared her presidential bid. Robredo shared that the priests she had met in Bicol asked her how fake news stories have affected her.

Trike driver for Leni: The people are her currency in the campaign “Ang pera ni Ma’am Leni, nasa kamay ng bawat isang tao. Kami ang pera nya.”

Ronald Carigo had just gotten off from work when he saw on Facebook posts about the Caravan of Hope/People’s Campaign that launched the presidential and vice-presidential bids of Leni Robredo and Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan on October 23.

Carigo said that the caravan was today’s equivalent of the noise barrage of the people led by  the martyred Senator Ninoy Aquino when Filipinos demanded change after years of the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos.

Leni: Controlling, mitigating effects of COVID-19 is #1 priority in my platform of governance

Presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo said Friday (Oct. 29) that controlling and mitigating the effects of the pandemic is the number one priority in her platform of governance, stressing that the country should start moving forward despite COVID-19 and ensure that the people’s new normal “will be better than the previous normal”.

Leni: Mandanas ruling should be used to empower the people

Vice President Leni Robredo on Friday said that the Mandanas ruling, which gives a bigger Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) to local government units (LGUs) is a great opportunity for them to be more responsive to the needs of their constituents.

The Mandanas ruling refers to the 2018 decision of the Supreme Court on Mandanas et al. v. Executive Secretary, et al. (G.R. Nos. 199802 and 208488) that the IRA, which is the share of LGUs in national taxes, should be computed based on all national taxes and not just national internal revenu...
