Interview with Vice President Leni Robredo at the Asian Forum on Enterprise for Society 2018

Conrad Manila Luxury Hotel, Pasay City

REPORTER 1: Ma’am, iyong sa 5,000 daw po na votes niyo, would you like to comment on that, iyong sa PET?

REPORTER 2: Ma’am, may concerns po kayo sa recount? Nabawasan daw ng 5,000?

VP LENI: Actually we can’t talk about it, eh. We have a gag order.

REPORTER 2: Pero Ma’am, wala kayong concerns?

VP LENI: Maraming concerns, maraming concerns. But we can’t talk about it, eh. We’re not allowed to talk about the case.

REPORTER 1: Ma’am, iyong sa Holocaust [memorial] picture, are you bothered by it, or did they have a point in criticizing you for that?

VP LENI: Ako, they have a point. In fact, gusto kong mag-apologize for offending the sensibilities of others. Ano naman iyon, there was no excuse. While there was no malice in it, ano pa din, I take full responsibility. Kaya I would like to apologize for whatever offense to the sensitivities of the people it caused.

    REPORTERS: Thank you, Ma’am!

REPORTER 2: But you’re not afraid of the recount?

VP LENI: [laughs] May gag order kasi.
