At 1:00 pm, the Vice President attended the Angat Buhay Women Workshop for Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs (AB WAWE) in Bohol Bee Farm, Panglao, Bohol. AB WAWE is part of the three-phase Women’s Economic Empowerment Program loosely patterned after the 7 “M”s framework in developing women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises in the Philippines namely: Mastery, Mentoring, Money, Machine, Market, and Models. The program was a three-day capacity development training that was focused on developing the basic competencies needed by aspiring entrepreneurs, which include evaluating business ideas and creating a business plan based on key business principles.
In her speech, she emphasized that economic empowerment among women is one of the vital solutions to get out of abusive relationships and be independent.
