The Office of the Vice President’s Angat Buhay partner, Museo Pambata pledged to provide teacher-training assistance to Cabanatuan.
In line with this, Museo Pambata organized a storytelling workshop for 111 Novo Ecijano daycare workers last June 23 in the Teachers’ Hall of the Department of Education in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.
The workshop featured different forms of storytelling presentation, such as kamishibai (a type of storytelling originating from Japan), shadow play, chamber storytelling, and storytelling using props and books.
“This was a jump off from the Angat Buhay Summit – we met with representatives from Cabanatuan through the summit and saw their need to enhance teacher training in their area,” says Ms. Maricel Montero, Executive Director of Museo Pambata.
Museo Pambata is a non-stock, non-profit organization whose vision includes strengthening the knowledge, values, and cultural identity of Filipino children through fun learning experiences, interactive exhibits, and advocacy programs.
