This website adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. The Vice President was in Los Angeles, California, USA for a series of events.

She met with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti at Getty House, Windsor Square. They discussed their respective advocacies, as well as initiatives for Filipino-Americans in LA.

The Vice President attended the UP Alumni Association of Greater Los Angeles (UPAAGLA) 2019 Installation Ceremony and Endowment Fund Raising Gala in Los Angeles Grand Hotel, California, USA. The UPAAGLA is a recognized Chapter of the UP Alumni Association in the Philippines that aims to engage UP Alumni in Southern California and to raise funds to support the various academic programs and capital improvement projects in the eight campuses of UP. Through the years, UPAAGLA has supported the following projects: UP Professorial Chair, 5-year full scholarship of Armel Lugod, B.S. Architecture, Class of 2018, UP Mindanao, Lend-A-Laptop Student Assistance Program, UP College of Engineering Thesis Grants.

In her speech, the Vice President emphasized that education must be used to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. She shared how UP education opened her eyes to the injustices of society. “By then, UP has already shaped our world view and taught us that we must do our part in serving the Filipino people. That as Iskolars ng Bayan, to serve the people with honor and excellence is not only our duty, but our unique privilege. That our knowledge, skills, and talents should be used for a higher purpose, never just for amassing wealth, finding fame, or acquiring power.”
