This website adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

Statement of VP Leni on Extrajudicial Killings

    20 July 2016

We strongly condemn the spate of extrajudicial killings that occurred recently. This senseless and unjust violence must stop.

We should not foster a culture of fear in our society — one that tacitly accepts death and one that does not give respect to human life.

We urge the authorities to seriously investigate these killings and bring those responsible to justice.

The rise in extra judicial killings is a call for all of us to uphold every person’s right to due process. Each Filipino who was killed over an alleged crime was denied their right to a fair trial, and those lives may never be returned to their loved ones.

We must all stand together in defending our human rights, as well as the rights of those who cannot fight for themselves.”
