The Relief for Indigents and Individuals in Crises and Emergencies (RIICE) Program reflects the Office of the Vice President’s commitment to providing timely and compassionate assistance to Filipinos facing urgent and difficult circumstances.

By ensuring access to basic food necessities, the RIICE Program helps ease the burden of hunger and provides relief to disadvantaged sectors during times of crisis—offering not just sustenance, but reassurance that help is within reach.

Food insecurity remains one of the most pressing challenges experienced by families affected by crises, emergencies, and sudden disruptions to their livelihood. Through the RIICE Program, the OVP responds to this immediate need by distributing food bags containing essential items to individuals and families who are most in need.
