1. Serves as OVP focal person for legal concerns with external stakeholders and oversees the legal implications of projects and programs of the OVP;
2. Coordinates with external stakeholders (e.g., national government agencies) relative to the OVP's compliance with laws, rules and regulations;
3. Prepares correspondences including supporting documents relative to legal concerns of the OVP;
4. Conducts a legal assessment of the implementation of projects and programs by interpreting pertinent laws, rules and regulations, reviewing and drafting legal forms and documents, and making recommendations for continuous improvement;
5. Addresses concerns from constituents (e.g., special project beneficiaries, partner communities) by studying its legal implications and exhausting administrative remedies;
6. Undertakes legal research and/or writing and prepares recommendations on actions for deliberation, as assigned; and
7. Substitutes for the Division Chief in case of absence to ensure continuous office operations.
