Through the collaborative efforts of the Office of the Vice President Disaster Operations Center (OVP-DOC) and the OVP Davao Satellite Office, a total of 26,285 families affected by the widespread flooding were provided with five kilograms of rice each on February 21.

The rice assistance was received by 13,607 families in Davao Oriental, 9,967 families in Davao del Norte, and 2,711 families in Davao de Oro.

The OVP-DOC also distributed food and non-food items in Davao Oriental. Donors from Luzon gave the items.

The Office of the Vice President expresses heartfelt gratitude to all responders and volunteers who worked together to assist those affected by the widespread flooding caused by the shear line and low-pressure area in Mindanao.

The OVP is always ready to assist and support those affected by calamities.
