The Office of the Vice President (OVP) extended aid to the fire victims in Pandacan, Manila, on January 12.
Over 400 families were affected by the fire that broke out in Barangays 849, 850, and 852. The OVP Disaster Operations Center (OVP-DOC) led the distribution of a total of 464 relief bags to the fire victims.
Additionally, the OVP-DOC provided food packs and bottled water to emergency responders and volunteers who led the firefighting efforts on January 11.
The OVP also provided rice meals and bottled water to 300 fire volunteers who responded to the blaze in Barangay 850 and 851 in Pandacan. The assistance to these volunteers was coordinated by the OVP-DOC. Among the volunteers were barangay officials, first aid responders, and firefighters.
