The Office of the Vice President Davao Satellite Office and the Department of Labor and Employment XI led the distribution of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) financial aid to residents of Barangay Pichon in Caraga, Davao Oriental.

Barangay Pichon was hit by the December 2023 Tropical Storm Kabayan, which resulted in landslides, affecting community infrastructures, homes, and the residents’ sources of livelihood.

A total of 501 residents each received P4,400.

The successful payout was facilitated by the Local Government of Caraga, led by Mayor Reynante Osnan, in collaboration with DOLE-XI, Sangguniang Barangay ng Pichon, Armed Forces of the Philippines 66th Infantry Brigade, and the Philippine National Police.
