Top officials of popular mall chain SM Supermalls met Vice President Sara Duterte on Thursday at the Office of the Vice President in Mandaluyong City.
Hannah Sy, head of SM Supermalls Special Projects, informed the Vice President and Education Secretary of their plan to launch the Super Spelling Bee. This competition will pit learners from private and public schools in the country.
The initiative aims to revive the Filipino youth's interest in spelling in the digital age, emphasizing its importance in effective communication.
A possible partnership between the Department of Education and SM was also discussed.
The Vice President was pleased to hear that SM Supermalls is employing K-12 graduates and was grateful for SM’s education initiatives.
