Aiming to provide a meaningful experience to the Filipino youth, Vice President Sara Duterte was accompanied by 16-year-old Elize during an official trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) on February 11 to 14.

The Vice President is head of the SEAMEO Council.

Elize, a Grade 11 student from Sta. Cruz High Integrated School in Lubao, Pampanga, is the fourth recipient of the You Can Be VP (YCBVP) Program of the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Elize was with the Vice President during meetings with various high-ranking officials in Malaysia and visits to several schools.

Elize, who dreams of becoming a teacher and a public servant, said the experience has inspired her even more to pursue her goals and to serve the nation.

The You Can Be VP program of the OVP provides experiential learning to youth about the duties of a Vice President.
