Vice President Sara Duterte welcomed Lao Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Sonexay Vannaxay, to the Office of the Vice President Central Office today.

During their conversation, they agreed to further strengthen diplomatic relations between Laos and the Philippines as members of the Association of South East Asian Nations.

Ambassador Vannaxay said the Lao government is interested in benchmarking the Philippines’ education and healthcare sectors.

Vice President Duterte said the Lao government might look into the local government units with successful health and education campaigns and programs.
