This afternoon, September 8, 2022, Vice President Sara Duterte led the oath-taking of Mr. Jose Arnulfo “Wick” Veloso as the new President and General Manager of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).

They discussed the possible cooperation of GSIS and the Department of Education in resolving certain issues such as teachers' loans; restructuring or moratorium on loans of teachers and DepEd personnel affected by the earthquake, especially in Northern Luzon; additional insurance for teachers, such as Personal Accident Insurance; and the reconciliation of premium and loan amortization remittances and the service records of their office employees.

Vice President Duterte and Mr. Veloso also talked about the insurance of school buildings.
