A total of 28,436 trees were planted by the Office of the Vice President’s 10 Satellite Offices (SOs) all over the country as of June 30, or more than a month after the launching of the PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees campaign on May 27,
The OVP SOs will continue to partner with government agencies and private organizations for future tree planting activities.
The campaign aims to preserve the environment by planting one million trees all over the country until 2028.
The program also aims to provide one million backpacks with basic education materials and dental kits to youth across the country.
