The Office of the Vice President received a Plaque of Recognition from the Department of Education — Zamboanga City Division during the Education Partners and Stakeholders Summit on January 19 at the Grabd Astoria Hotel, Zamboanga City.

The awarding ceremony was led by Schools Division Superintendent Majarani Jacinto, EdD, CESO V.

The DepEd also expressed gratitude for OVP's support in delivering basic education services through the PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees Campaign. This initiative aims to provide school supplies and dental kits to one million students, along with tree planting activities nationwide to promote environmental awareness.

The OVP's campaign significantly contributed to the successful implementation of DepEd's Adopt-a-School Program. Over 18,000 school bags containing school supplies and dental kits have been distributed by the OVP in the region, providing substantial assistance to the education sector.
