Vice President Sara Duterte attended the Department of Tourism's Philippine Tourism Industry Convergence Reception at the SMX Convention Center on Monday.

Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco cited the recognition of the Philippines by the New York-based global media company Condé Nast as one of the 40 most beautiful countries in the world, and Asia's leading beach and dive destination in the World Travel Awards.

The Travel and Leisure Magazine also included Boracay Island, Palawan, and Cebu in its list of 25 Best Islands in the world.

Boracay Island was also recognized as one of the 50 world's greatest places in the world in the year 2022.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said it was time to extend the programs aimed at promoting Philippine tourism.
