Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday (March 21) joined the personnel and officers of the Quezon City Police District in their celebration of Women's Month.
As speaker, the Vice President recognized the contribution of women in law enforcement and in maintaining order in our communities.
She also congratulated them for the decrease in reported VAWC cases.
The district only recorded 55 VAWC cases from January to March this year, which is lower than the 77 VAWC cases in the same months in 2022.
Here is her message for our QCPD police officers:
"Today, we will recognize women members of QCPD who have exemplified remarkable dedication and competence by effectively contributing to the attainment of QCPD's vision and mission."
"And today, we salute them as we congratulate them for their valuable contribution to the journey of QCPD as an institution — and for being living proofs that our choices in life, including our profession, are not defined, dictated, tainted, or underlined by the colors of gender.”
