Vice President Sara Duterte joined the people of General Santos City in celebrating the Kalilangan Festival on Monday night.
The Vice President, who was in the city to witness the Kadsagayan Streetdance Competition, recognized the people of GenSan for the city’s development amid challenges such as terrorism.
Duterte said General Santos City has come a long way, and that as a Mindanawon, she stands in solidarity with the success of fellow Mindanawons.
In her speech, the Vice President said: “General Santos has always been one of the cities in Mindanao that many of us Mindanawons are proud of.”
