Vice President Sara Duterte in February 28 met with the Ministry of Education of Malaysia led by Her Excellency Fadhlina Binti Sidek.

The Vice President shared that the Philippines' basic education curriculum includes the disaster risk reduction and management mechanism to teach learners about disaster preparedness.

According to Minister Sidek, Malaysia is also focusing on climate change adaptation and preparedness because they experience flooding every year.

Aside from the disaster management measures, VP Sara also shared her project with DepEd which is the National Peace Culture or the teaching of discipline to the youth so that they grow up responsible, become partners of our government in shaping a more stable country, and to intensify their love for the Philippines.
