Vice President Sara Duterte met with Steve Killelea, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Institute for Economics and Peace on November 8.

Killelea was accompanied by Charles Allen, the Director for Partnerships of the said institution, when he visited the Office of the Vice President.

The Vice President and her guests talked about programs related to security and peace-building which are considered key to a country's development.

VP Duterte also personally thanked the institution for its help in creating Peace 911— a program in Davao City that freed residents of Paquibato District from the New People's Army (NPA).

Killelea was joined by retired Army Col. Dickson Hermoso, the former Minister of Transportation and Communication, and Ms. Irene Santiago, Peace 911's peace adviser.
