Vice President Sara Duterte was a speaker at the 10th anniversary of the Research Center for Teacher Quality or RCTQ on November 18.

The Vice President praised the RCTQ-- composed of people from the Philippine Normal University, the University of New England, and the Australian Agency for International Development --for sincerely devoting their time and talent in developing education professional standards.

With more than three years of research and consultation, the RCTQ, created the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers which was formally adopted and implemented by the Department of Education in 2017. The RCTQ also spent three years of research and validation to create the Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads and Supervisors, which DepEd started implementing in 2020.
