Vice President Sara Duterte attended a briefing on the flooding and landslides that occurred in the Davao Region on Wednesday. The briefing, held in Davao City, was led by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
Local government chief executives from different provinces in the Davao Region, which were severely affected by the flooding and landslides, provided the situation reports.
Government agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Office of Civil Defense also reported on the assistance provided to the affected areas and residents.
The Vice President emphasized the importance of preparedness for such disasters so that both the government and the public would be able to prepare for disasters. She said that ensuring the safety and general welfare of the people must remain the government’s top priority.
