Read the Vice President's Message
Vice President Sara Duterte Monday joined the Dabawenyos in celebrating the first anniversary of the declaration of Davao City as an Insurgency-Free city.
She commemorated a year of liberation from the hands of the New People's Army, a terrorist group she described as the devil.
The NPA, she said, made life difficult for Filipinos, especially people with low incomes and those living in remote parts of the country.
She said she hopes that one day, the entire Philippines will also be freed from the shackles of the terrorist NPA.
“As we move forward, I hope that one day soon, we wake up to the news that the entire Philippines is already NPA terrorist-free. Let us make this happen,” the Vice President said.
