Vice President Sara Duterte on March 24 was sworn in as an honorary member of the Philippine Military Academy - Bagong Anyo ng Buhay (Banyuhay) Class of 2002.
The Vice President, during her oath-taking, paid tribute to the bravery of our soldiers in ensuring the safety of the country and the Filipinos.
One of the members of Banyuhay Class of 2002 who gave his life for the country was Major Jericho Mangalus, who died with Corporal Bryan Libot in an ambush at the height of the Marawi Siege in 2017.
Also sworn is honorary members of the Banyuhay Class of 2002 were Senator Robin Padilla and Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company Executive Leo Gonzales.
