VP Sara, JICA rep discuss educ programs

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Chief Representative Sakamoto Takema and Vice President Sara Duterte tackled programs that could help the Philippines improve its education system.

He shared JICA’s invitation for education development training, the promotion of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on education, engagements with Philippine Local Government Units, and the recruitment of Japanese volunteers to teach Filipino children.

Mr. Takema said part program with LGUs is disaster education for the youth.

The Vice President, who is also the Education Secretary, thanked JICA for the initiatives that aim to strengthen the education system in the country.
