VP Sara leads National Children's Month culmination

Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte led the culminating activity of the National Children's Month.

During the program initiated by the Department of Education (DepEd) - Learner Rights and Protection Office (LRPO), policies aimed at strengthening measures to protect the welfare and rights of children were launched.

These included the Enhanced Child Protection Policy, Guidelines on the Implementation of the Safe Spaces Act in Basic Education, and the DepEd Policy on the Child in Situations of Armed Conflict.

The goal was to promote, protect, respect, and uphold the rights of every child, regardless of color, gender, race, religion, culture, life status, among others.

The policies enforced by DepEd serve not only as directives but also to ensure the well-being of educators, DepEd partners, and other stakeholders.

The Vice President emphasized the significance of every child's voice and reminded everyone that DepEd should remain vigilant against abuse and violence perpetrated against children.
