Vice President Sara Duterte visited residents affected by the December 27 fire in Barangay Leon Garcia, Agdao, in Davao City.

The fire survivors were temporarily sheltered at the Congressman Manuel M. Garcia Elementary School.

Over 350 homes were damaged by the fire.

Addressing the residents, the Vice President pointed out that fire is often caused by illegal electric connections and substandard appliances and other electric-powered household items.

It’s crucial, she said, to always exercise caution.

She thanked the Office of the Vice President Davao Satellite Office, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), and the City Health Office for providing assistance to the affected residents.
