Vice President Sara Duterte visited Tagumpay Elementary School and High School in Pola, Oriental Mindoro.
The two schools registered a high number of student absences following the oil spill brought on by the sinking of a boat off the coast of the province recently.
The Vice President proposed the implementation of blended learning in times when students have difficulty attending classes.
She also distributed financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to 289 parents of students affected by the tragedy.
