As President of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization, Vice President Sara Duterte was pleased to have the opportunity to visit the Tropmed Center in Selangor, Malaysia, on February 13.

During the visit, she was given a tour and shown the laboratories where research and studies are conducted. The SEAMEO TropMed Regional Center for Microbiology, Parasitology, and Entomology in Malaysia aims to promote health and prevent diseases to improve the well-being of people in Southeast Asia.

In today's era, it is crucial to prioritize health, especially with various diseases emerging that significantly affect the people and the economy.

Following the visit, it is expected that collaboration between the Philippines and Malaysia in the fields of research and health will be strengthened.
